It’s already four days into the month of October and you may have noticed many of your favorite things have turned pink. That’s because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are participating in the campaign to raise awareness and help to fund research into the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of breast cancer.
When you visit any of our five Kerbey Lane Cafe locations around Austin, you can purchase a $20 pink T-Shirt and/or a pink pancake for $3.25. The proceeds for these pink purchases will go directly to the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas to support, educate and empower those affected by breast cancer.
For 18 years, the Breast Cancer Resource Centers have provided tangible resources to women in our community diagnosed with breast cancer, and are able to offer all services free of charge because of tremendous local support. “We are so proud to partner with another local icon, Kerbey Lane, and make a difference in the lives of local women and families facing breast cancer” said Ray Anne Evans, Executive Director of BCRC.
We’ll be serving our pink pancakes throughout the month of October. Since the pink pancakes are sold to raise money for BCRC, we only offer them individually. We encourage our guests to order more than one but they are not sold as part of a short stack, full stack, or any of our other platters.
If you’re interested in purchasing one of our pink T-Shirts, you can ask the host or your server when you stop by any of our 24hr locations. You can also donate to the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas directly if you prefer.
