Go Texan is sponsoring an Iron Chef-style showdown at Homefield Grill in Round Rock, the competition will be between the Executive Chef at Homefield Grill, Scott Reed, and our own Executive Chef, Joel Welch. Both chefs will showcase their culinary talents, featuring Texas Gulf Coast Shrimp and Texas-grown Watermelon. Each chef and their respective team will do battle utilizing both of the featured ingredients in a 3 course presentation. The chefs will have one hour to create their meals with the main ingredients as the feature of each course. At the conclusion of the battle, the chefs will present all three courses to a panel of judges and will be graded on 4 categories: Presentation, utilization of the main ingredients, originality, and overall flavor. The chef with the highest score, wins. The seating at this event is very limited.
