Happy New Year!

Well folks, the holidays are officially over for another season. We don’t know about y’all but we’re ready for things to get back to normal. Did you make any resolutions in the new year? Did you eat your black-eyed peas and collared greens? We’re guessing by the number of people we served on New Years Day that there were lots of folks who resolved to eat more Kerbey Lane this year and we couldn’t be more pleased about it.
Speaking of eating more Kerbey Lane, we’re receiving lots of positive feedback about the new additions to our menu. So far, it seems as though the most popular new entree is the Chicken Fried Steak Medallions followed closey by the Orange-Thyme Braised Short Ribs. Both of these meals are great on their own but did you know that you can add a cup of soup and/or a salad to any entree order for a mere $2.50? Now that the weather has turned cold, there is nothing better than a cup of hot soup while you wait for your main course to cook. We’ll still have Broccoli Cheese soup through the weekend but Chef Joel is working on a new vegetable soup offering for next week.
If you’re planning to pay us a visit this weekend, and we hope that you do, you can expect things to be back to normal. You’ll probably still have to wait for a table during peak brunch hours but the extra holiday business has let up until next year. We’ll be serving Salted-Caramel Chocolate Pancakes through Tuesday, January 7th. That’s a chocolate pancake with chocolate chips inside, topped with a caramel sauce and freshly ground sea salt. It is decadent but delicious. This week’s featured vegan pancake is Vegan Vanilla, which is just a plain vegan pancake. Each location has options if you’d like to add something to your vegan pancake like blueberries or almonds. Also, for a limited-time Kerbey Lane on S. Lamar has Vegan Pumpkin pancakes in addition to the Vegan Vanilla pancakes.
We hope y’all have a great weekend, stay warm out there it’s going to be frigid!
