The Week in Kerbey
}

The big story at Kerbey Lane Cafe this week is Bevo Bucks. Unless you attend or attended the University of Texas you probably aren’t familiar with Bevo Bucks but you can probably guess that it’s a way for students to pay for food off-campus using their on-campus meal plan. Since we have a 24hr location right on the drag we gladly accept Bevo Bucks and we have become a popular destination for students to use their Bevo Bucks. However, our system to accept this alternative form of payment was out of date for a few a weeks. We were not pleased about the situation and many of our student customers were also less-than-pleased with the sudden change. However, as of the start of this week Bevo Bucks are back online!

This week was also the first week that our original store changed its hours of operation. In case you missed last week’s post, the original Kerbey Lane Cafe on Kerbey Ln. now locks its doors at 11pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening. The original location re-opens each morning at 6:30am and remains open from Thursday at 6am until Sunday at 11pm. This change in hours only affects one of our five Austin locations and only for four evenings per week. All five stores will continue to operate 24 hours all weekend, every weekend.

This weekend our friends at the Austin Sertoma Club are hosting their annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast featuring Kerbey Lane Cafe pancakes. This event takes place from 7:30am-1:00pm at the Texas School for the Deaf tomorrow morning. It’s only $6 for all-you-can eat pancakes and all of the proceeds benefit the Texas School for the Deaf.

If you plan on stopping by one of our five stores this weekend, we’ll be featuring Peanut Butter-Banana Pancakes topped with Nutella. Our featured vegan pancake flavor is Vegan Vanilla, ask your server what is available to add to the batter if you’d like to fancy them up a bit. Have a great weekend y’all!
