This Week in Kerbey
}

It’s the first day of August, which is very special to us here at Kerbey Lane Cafe. Not only is it the hottest month of the year, it’s also the month that we open our sixth Kerbey location. We couldn’t be more excited about opening our first store in Westlake. Kerbey will join a great group of Austin-based businesses at the Village at Westlake shopping center in just a couple of weeks.

In the build-up to our newest location, we have been hard at work finding and training new team members as well as getting the store itself ready for customers. If you live in Westlake, chances are you’ve seen a dramatic transformation to our new space over the past couple of months. Most notable, we removed that bizarre, faux-Alamo facade and replaced it with our cool, contemporary spheres facade. If you ask us, you really can’t go wrong with a spheres facade.

If you’re a Kerbey regular, be sure to inquire about the soft-opening of Kerbey Westlake next time you stop by your favorite location. In a couple of weeks we’ll be giving a select group of guests the chance to preview the new space, so that we can have some practice before we welcome the general public. These soft-openings are a great way for our team members to figure out what is and is not working in our new locations.

The first day of August also marks the end of our Cash & Can drive benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. This year was one of our most successful can drives yet. We’ll be sending team members to CAFB headquarters to help sort and box the cans we’ve collected. We want to thank everyone who donated, their time, cans and money to this fantastic cause.

Speaking of fantastic, if you’re planning to stop by and see us this weekend we have some fantastic featured pancakes. Now through early Tuesday morning, we have Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, Vegan Vanilla Pancakes and Gluten-Free Cocoa Banana Pancakes. We hope y’all have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing y’all soon!
