This Week in Kerbey

This week was the first UNOFFICIAL week of autumn. Technically the seasons won’t change for a couple of more weeks and if you live here in Austin, they don’t really change at all until November or December. Regardless of the weather, when the kids go back to school fall has begun but that doesn’t mean we’re ready to say goodbye to Tomato Pie just yet. We’re sticking with the Tomato Menu until October 22nd. That means, we won’t be switching to pumpkin-flavored everything until pumpkins are actually in season. In the meantime, we’re going to be savoring every bite of our Lemon Poppy Seed pancakes because we know they won’t be around much longer.
This week we’re actually serving-up TWO varieties of Lemon Poppy Seed pancake. You can choose a standard Lemon Poppy pancake or you can opt for a Vegan Lemon Poppy Seed pancake. With or without animal bi-products this pancake is delicious. In addition to our different varieties of Lemon Poppy Seed pancakes, we’re also be serving Apple Pie Pancakes and Gluten-Free Apple Cinnamon Pancakes this weekend.
These featured pancakes are available from now until early Tuesday morning at each of our six locations. That’s right, SIX locations! Kerbey Lane Cafe is expanding, our newest location is now open in Westlake near the intersection of Capital of Texas HWY and Bee Caves Rd. We also have plans to open a location in North Austin near Braker LN and Metric BLVD next calendar year. Kerbey Braker will be our first store that we build from the ground-up. The locations we currently occupy were all spaces we adapted from previous businesses. We are very excited about our first build but it’s still a year away so we’re going to try to stay patient for now.
No matter what your weekend plans are, we’d love to be a part of them. We know you think of us for late nights or early mornings but with $3 beer and wine selections, you might want to stop by for dinner. Have a great weekend y’all!
