Vegan Espresso Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting

It’s finally Friday, which is the perfect time to indulge. With that in mind, we wanted to highlight one of our newest desserts for you. With the change in our seasonal menu we had three changes to our dessert menu as well. Once again, we worked closely with our friends at Austin’s-own The Cake Plate to develop some flavors that suit that season as well as the desires of our customers. We are incredibly excited about our newest Vegan dessert.
Since we have put the Lemon-Poppyseed pancakes on hiatus, we thought it only appropriate to bench our Vegan Lemon Cake with Strawberry frosting as well. We’ve replaced it with an outrageously decadent yet incredibly delicious Espresso Cake topped with an unbelievably scrumptious Peanut Butter Frosting. It is Vegan but don’t let that frighten you. Obviously, our Vegan patrons are going to love it but we would challenge even the most staunch omnivores to give this dessert a try. If we didn’t tell you it was sans animal bi-products we doubt anyone would know. However, if your eating habits prohibit eggs and dairy this cake is the perfect indulgence. We recommend pairing it with a Soy Mocha Latte to complete the experience. Enjoy!
