What’s New This Week at Kerbey Lane Cafe

Our favorite thing about this week was definitely the weather. We don’t want to jinx things but we must say that getting rain is crucial this time of year and the cooler temperatures were quite pleasant.
You may also have noticed that we ordered new menus. Our previous iteration used a really cool waterproof paper. It seemed like a great idea (on paper) and we received some positive feedback from people in-the-know when it comes to paper stock. In the end it wasn’t meant to be. It’s not you waterproof paper, it’s us. We’re not ready for you yet. Oh, and did we mention that we added Chicken and Sausage Gumbo to our year-round menu?
We also want to remind everyone that throughout the month of July we have teamed up with the Capital Area Food Bank. For every two cans you bring in to any of our five stores we’ll give you a $1 off your bill up to 10 cans or $5 off. We’ll also be volunteering at CAFB at the end of the month so we can follow your cans to their new homes. If you’d like to volunteer at the Capital Area Food Bank they are always looking for some extra hands. For that matter, you can also donate cash to the food bank at any Kerbey Lane Cafe location throughout the month of July as well as online.

We wrote about it last week but we wanted to remind everyone that Go Texan Restaurant Round-Up Week starts this Monday, July 22nd. All you have to do to show your support is visit any participating restaurants, including Kerbey Lane Cafe, anytime next week. However, it should be noted that your support of these businesses is always appreciated year-round.
We look forward to seeing y’all soon. Have you had your Tomato Pie yet?
